Another Europe is possible!

The European Social Forum is coming to Malmö, Sweden! From September 17th to 21st 2008 the European Social Forum (ESF) is being held in Malmö, in the south of Sweden. More than 20 000 people are expected to participate in the forum, which is a meeting place for social movements in Europe. During five days seminars and workshops will be mixed with culture, music, activism and demonstrations. But ...
the forum is so much more than a meeting of a couple of days - now we in the Nordic countries and the rest of Europe have the chance to put forward alternatives and visions for the future. It is you and your organization that decide what will be the content of the forum, the programme is created from below by all who want to participate in the process. Many questions will be dealt with: from workers’ rights, equality, public service, development of democracy, resistance to war and racism, to global solidarity and a change in climate strategy. Because ESF is about changing society - not just having discussions. The European Social Forum is a unique arena for exchange of experiences, discussions, network building and planning of common initiatives and campaigns.
